A Q-tip is just a brand name for a cotton swab. Try using a toothpick. Good luck! How do you remove black nail polish from around the nail?
try nail polish remover...
if it doesn't work, then try scrubbing it off with water...
otherwise, just leave it and it'll go off in a few days...
Pour some lemon juice, leave it for 2 min and then use nail polish remover. if not worked use a paint remover. it may definetly get use for you.
After you nail polish is completely dry, take a bath or do the dishes. The mess around the nail will be easy to just scrape off with your fingernail then.
Well, there are two solutions. One is to buy a corrector pen the next time you are out and about. They are just like a felt-tipped pen, but they dispense remover, instead, and you can get really close to the nail without messing up your manicure.
For a quick fix, take a orange stick, or, if you don't have one, the tip of something pointy like a metal nail file, and simply dip it in remover and go over the area carefully. You can use a cotton swab, but you don't have much control with one of those, and they tend to leak onto the nail bed, which messes up your manicure. You can also just soak your hands for a while in warm water, and then take a nail brush to your cuticles, and it should come off pretty easily.
In the future, keep something on hand to remove the excess while you are painting, as it is much easier to remove then. Another thing you can do is put a lot of lotion on your hands before you paint. Make sure you go around the edge of the nail, on you cuticles really well, so that they are kind of greasy. Then, before you paint, take a cotton ball or a swab, and just remove the lotion from the nail, not your cuticles. The lotion will keep the polish from sticking well to your cuticles, and once your nails are dry, you should be able scrub it off fairly easily with a nail brush.
Good luck--and remember, the more you paint, the better you will get at it.
I use a corrector pen that I dip into the cap of the acetone polish remover. If you don't have one, you could use a Q-Tip %26amp; dip it into the cap to remove excess nail polish. Good luck!
First put a clear base coat nail polish on.
This helps the nails from becoming discolored.
Use a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover
to clean off dried mistakes.
My Great Aunt said, back in her day they
used to make black nail polish at home
using cigarette ashes.
Now that sounds dangerous.
acetone
Try lemon juice. Get a fresh lemon cut it in half then put your finger nails in it. The acid should neautralise any discolouration on and under the nails. But make sure you have taken as much nail polish off as possible.
The lemon is brilliant for whitening under the nails to make them look like you have just had a french manicure. I use it all the time, some moisurisers i have always seem to get under my nails and make my nails look greasy so i use the lemon juice.
nail poshish remover and rub off
use a q tip and some aceton polish remover if you cant get it then try scratching it off if it still doesnt come off like that it should just wear on in a day or two with normal activity and hand washing.try using a brillo sponge too.i know its wierd it works just dont do it to hard
After u polish ur nails go around the nail with a q tip saoaked in finger nail polish remover. This will remove the excess nail polish from around the sides.
Take a cotton swab (q-tip) and dip it in some nail polish remover, and gently go around the nail and wipe.
FYI: Avon makes this nail color that you can put on like tape over the nail, and it is a whole less messy...check it out!
