is it cool, outdated, weird...whats your view on it?What do you think about white nail polish?
I personally feel that any nail varnish looks nice as long as you rock it, its clearly not outdated as tons of celebs wear it for example Beyonce Knowles and Lauren Conrad and it looks great give it a try and see what you think. What do you think about white nail polish?
I actually like white nail polish a lot IF you can keep it from getting dirty. Painting your nails just white will look great and shiny for maybe a day, but with your everyday life your nails get dirty and with white every little thing is gonna show up. I think it looks awseome on toes and as a french tip. I dont use white nail polish for my nails, but i do use an off white/ creamish color or a pale pink it pretty too.
I like white nail polish. Not many people wear it (at least not that I see, besides on french manicures). It's different and pretty.
i love nail polish. nail polish helps express yourself and is a great accessory. i wear nail polish all of the time :D
i think white makes everyone look a bit more bright.
white goes with ANYTHING %26amp; just adds that nice bright color.
In my opinion, white is beastt !
its nice when wearing bold clothing. I like it, but it can be difficult to put on. It looks really good when wearing navy.
A bit weird, in my opinion. It's great for French tips or with designs, but by itself, it's a bit ';blah.';
It looks nice if it is well done, otherwise look nasty. and also, you should remove it as soon as it starts to peel.
omg i love white it goes with every color and very fun either or sophisticated
Personally, I think black and white are the coolest colors of nail polish out there.
kinda outdated....its okayyyy
I think it's pretty cool, especially on those with a darker skin tone. :)

Things you can mix to take nail polish off?
Is there anything you can mix together to get rid of nail polish? Like, stuff at home?
Thanks =)Things you can mix to take nail polish off?
if you dont have nail polish remover, reapply the nailpolish and while its wet right away wipe it off (it comes off really)!!!Things you can mix to take nail polish off?
If I don't have nail polish remover I soak my hands in water and scrape it off.
um im not that sure, i just use nailpolish remover if i dont have any i just scrap it off :\
nail polish remover...
This sounds strange, but I've also used body splash (which is mostly alcohol) in a pinch, but it does not work NEARLY as well as nail polish remover.

Will regular nail polish remove air brush from acrylic nails?
Yes, but be careful not to use too much as it can damage the acrylic nail itself. :)makeup ideas

I'm not sure, but I really don't think so. So maybe it's best to remove it before. It's better to be sure you are doing something halal rather than worry if you are doing something haram.

How to get nail polish off?
When you accidentally get nail polish on the side of your finger where the nail ends, what's an easy way to get it off without ruining the polish on the nais? How to get nail polish off?
Wait for the nail polish to dry, then put it on hot water, and scrape the nail polish off.
Or take a cotton swab with some Acetone and clean it up.
Or buy one of those correcting pens. OPI %26amp; Essie make them. Sally Hansen, too. :)How to get nail polish off?
Soak your hand in warm water, and then rub the polish off your finger with a wash cloth. If you are careful, it shouldn't ruin the polish on you nail at all!
put vaseline around your nails before painting them, the nail polish won't stick to your skin ;)
If you do get it on your skin, let it dry then get a wooden orange stick or cotton bud, dip it in remover lightly and go around the sides.
What i tend to do is let the polish dry on my skin, it soon washes off in the shower or when i'm washing your hands. This means you won't lose the polish from your nails and you'll end up with a real neat finish.
well, you should start off by trying to wash your hands with a scrub, like the ones with the bead things in them. if that doesn't work, then you should use a q-tip and dip it in nail polish remover and very carefully take it off of your finger.
good luck:)
Nail polish remover.
What I do is wait until they are completely dry and then get a cotton swab, dunk it in nail polish remover, and very carefully rub it off. A q-tip's end is really small and precise to work with, that's why I use them.

How do I get a sticker off of a car window (plastic part)? Nail polish remover seems risky?
Goo Gone is a fantastic product (available at Target and most any hardware store or drug store) and works amazingly well on even pesky sticker residue. Soak the area, and wipe it away. It might take repeated applications, but you can remove the sticker without scratching, and without leaving a gooey residue.
Note that Goo Gone can affect some surfaces, including some plastics, so you should be careful, especially if it is clear plastic. I've used Goo Gone many times on plastic glassic and CD cases, so it will certainly work on many plastics, but you should be careful.
In the event that Goo Gone seems too risky, you can frequently remove just the adhesive residue using plain old Scotch tape. Remove as much of the sticker as possible (the paper/plastic backing) and then apply tape to the sticker residue firmly. Pull the tape off sharply, and some of the residue will come with it. This is a slow process so only do it if the area is relatively small, however, I frequently use this tactic for price tags and the like and it is surprisingly effective. How do I get a sticker off of a car window (plastic part)? Nail polish remover seems risky?
Use a small razor blade. It won't scratch the window, unless you dig into the window with the blade corner :)How do I get a sticker off of a car window (plastic part)? Nail polish remover seems risky?
This is a plastic window? If so, don't use a razor blade. WD-40 can also potentially damage plastic. Best choice is a citrus based cleaner like citra-solv. Goof off would also work.
WD-40 works really well on the goo that stickers leave behind. I suggest trying that first before buying anything.
Hi. Go to your nearest Safeway and buy ';Googone';. It works like a charm.

I recommended soaking the sticker in Windex, and then wiping as much off as possible, and then repeating until it is gone.

Should I wear nail polish with open toed shoes and nylons?
I am going to a formal dinner with my husband for Valentine's day. I have a formal red satin dress that I am wearing with black high heal sandals and beige nylons. I was going to wear nail polish, but I am not sure if that would look tacky under nylons. Any opinions on the subject?Should I wear nail polish with open toed shoes and nylons?
Does this dress really require the nylons? I now it's winter but theese type of shoes might look better with just bear legs and a good moisturizer, I think Dove even has like a tanning/shimmer line of products you can choose from to dress up your legs without the nylons.
Although if you really can't see yourself without them I suggest a really light beige for your nails and NO white tips. You can paint one of them with a dark color if that's what you want and then try the nylons on to see what it looks like with the sandals and all, if not just use the remover, and try the beige nail polish or the sandals alone.Should I wear nail polish with open toed shoes and nylons?
Yes, any time you wear open toed shoes, you want to have your toenails groomed and polished. You can either wear clear polish or a very pale shade.
Yes. My opinion is that no one is going to care.
Exposed toenails always look nice when polished, bare or stockinged. Red polish would really go well with the black shoes and red dress. Nude hosiery will complete the get-up although I usually eschew it, personal preference.
Have a delightful time!
yeah girl definetly you should give them a taste of what it would be like with out the nylons on
no nylons ,wear polish
with nylons wear a clear polish
I personally never wear hose. Period. I feel like they are WAY out of style. (this is my opinion.) I think it looks way better just to wear nothing with open toed shoes. Now..if they were closed toed shoes...that wouldn't be so bad. I might wear hose with them. I'm sure whatever you choose, you'll look beautiful! Good luck~*~
yes but make sure it is clear
I believe you should always wear toenail polish, nylons or no.
But if you didn't wear it, it wouldn't be tacky either.
I think it would look good under the nylons. But it's a matter of personal preference.
Always polish your toe nails. That way you will give your feet the proper attention they need. Always keep you toe nails cut and the cuticle pushed back and make sure your scrub you heels and feet with a pumice stone.
i say no nylons with open toed shoes because you will see the stitching at the toes. but nail polish and no nylons would look nice.
Anytime I wear open toe shoes I dress up the toe nails. Makes your feet so much prettier. I would definitely paint them. Paint them to match the dress though.
I rarely go without my toenails polished! And I wear nylons with open toe shoes, they make nylons called sandaltoe or something to that effect. Are you sandals really strappy? Or are they more closed toe type sandals? I try to skip the nylons if they are really strappy shoes! I personally think its up to you; try on your outfit all the ways possible and get your husbands thoughts on the matter (or a good friends if your husband has the ';you look fine in everything you wear'; attitude!)

Help! i spilled nail polish remover on my glasses, and now the frames (plastic) are all white.?
i guess the acetone ate through the plastic and hence the whiteness, but even if i scrape off the white parts, it either comes back or it remains discolored and now it's all scratched up from my trying to scrape off the whiteness. is there any way to smooth out the plastic?Help! i spilled nail polish remover on my glasses, and now the frames (plastic) are all white.?
No way you can correct that. Make an appointment for new frames.Help! i spilled nail polish remover on my glasses, and now the frames (plastic) are all white.?

Hummm thats a pickle, maybe try calling your eyedoctor, they might have some helpful hint. It may be time for new glasses though. GL

Are all nail polishes the same, or do you get what you pay for? What is the best polish for your buck?
its not a matter about price
i payed $15 for a nail polish its pretty bad, it chips easy and doesnt stay on any longer then 4 days.
where as my $3 nail polish can last for weeks :)
so price is not a factor :DAre all nail polishes the same, or do you get what you pay for? What is the best polish for your buck?
I found that generally the more expensive polishes last longer than the cheap ones. Are all nail polishes the same, or do you get what you pay for? What is the best polish for your buck?

What do you think of black nail polish on girls? 10 POINTS?
I just like the look, i don't dress scene, goth, etc but i think it looks cool. If you don't like it, how should I wear black nail polish to make it not look 'scary'. Should i add white or something to it?What do you think of black nail polish on girls? 10 POINTS?
It looks great, just make sure your nails aren't too long or it looks a little terrifying! Otherwise, it's a nice look :)What do you think of black nail polish on girls? 10 POINTS?
i like black nailpolish a lot ;) but i havent been using i, i've been using white and pinks more lately, just cause i was called emo and gothic for having b lack nail polish. wtf i know? ahah, and my teacher was wearing black nail polish at that time too, and shes like 28. ahahah gayy ;)
I love black nail polish too, and im not goth, punk, etc. What I usually do to not make it look so 'scary' is just buy some little designs/decals to put on them. Or I go to a professional and have them airbrush in silver or white.
Oh gosh I LUV it my favorite color on my nails I have black with pink, greeen, yellow, any color black is hot and awesome and yet again im kinda punk but when i wasnt i still liked it its wonderful and hot also black is a sign of faith thats what people said a long time ago!
I think as long as your nails aren't really long, it's fine...but I'd also try for polishes that are dark, but not black. There's one called ';Lincoln Park At Midnight'; by OPI that's a really dark purple. It's my fave. OPI has a lot of other colors that are dark but not black.
It's just a nail polish colour. In fact, black nails make them stand out and that's usually a good thing. It's not scary unless worn with 'scary' apparel.
I also like the look, when it's not chipping off and stuff. Then it just looks grungy. I also like going with a very deep dark red instead of the black.
I think it looks really nice. If you want you can also add little colored dots.
You can get off with black nail polish if you wear coloured jewelry to brighten it up!
X
i dont like black on nails. i do like the deeper purple tones tho. but dark nail polish looks the best on full long nails. i hope i get the ten points
you can add a bright tee. that will make it pop and not make you look goth
there are nail decals you can put on them %26amp; use the black polish as a background
i luv black, u could add a white swirl w/ a toothpick. i luv it. see selena gomez wearin it all the time.
i love it! but if ur goin to add something on it, dont make it white....trust me, it looks weird :)
i think tis awesome. I have black nail polish on right now =D
i wear black nail polish. i don't think it looks bad unless you do were gothy clothes
make it shiney! not like u spent 1 second on each nail

What do you do about finger nail polish?
I can not keep any kind of finger nail polish on my nails .They are very dry and brittle . every time i put polish on within 2 hours the polish is chipping off the nailWhat do you do about finger nail polish?
You must make time for polishing and not rush.
I would start out by washing my hands first. Then I would carefully remove any old polish that I may have on, remembering that If I am using artificial nail I must only use non-acetone polish remover.
If my nails were natural I would take an orangewood stick and wrap the end of it with cotton. I would then proceed to dip the end of the orangewood stick with peroxide and clean off any stains I may have on the top or underneath of my nails. This may not eliminate all stains if you are a heavy smoker but will certainly help.
For best results before you polish the nails must be clean from dirt and oils. If you remember to do this first then you end result will be longer lasting and a more evenly polished nail.
I would then shape my nails to the desired shape and length. I would proceed to always use a base coat before the polish. You would apply this base coat in three strokes. You would start at the top of the cuticle and continue polishing until you have reached the edge, always remembering to polish in the middle first and then ending with the two sides.
When I polish my own nails it is easier for me to place a small hand shelf or stool under the hand that is holding the brush. I am then able to maintain perfect steady control of my hands while polishing
It is time to polish when you have waited five minutes and your base coat has dried all of the way.
First I would choose a color that would accent my skin color as well as my wardrobe. I would gently roll the polish between my hands to eliminate bubbles.
I would then repeat the steps as if I were applying the base coat, but using the nail polish.
I would then wait another five minutes for this coat to dry. I would then re-apply another coat. When you you take the time to re-apply it will give your nails a more even coat.
I would then wait another five minutes and then apply a top coat. I would then wait an additional five minutes.
*Never apply nail polish if you are in a hurry. I would rather see a set of clean plain nails then nails that are painted and full of smudges.
*Never apply nail polish over a coat that has already been smudged. It will never look right. Properly re-do them!
If you should polish your skin by mistake this can easily be removed by using an orange wood stick with a piece of cotton and fingernail polish remover.
I would always recommend using a top coat. It really gives nails an added extra shine and looks more professional. This practice will also help with the chipping of nails.
When polishing your nails be experimental with different types and shades. They all perform differently. Some go on thicker, thinner, and you will just have to experiment until you find one that suits you.
Hope this helps~What do you do about finger nail polish?
Sally Hansen makes this clear polish that goes over nail polish.
Good Luck :)
Try getting a silk wrap.
if your vitamin intake is ok and you donn't have any diseases, use a hand cream or a cream for nails, putting them in the water alot and using detergents will make them dry and brittle too, hand work also may chip the polish.
sounds like you need to condition and improve the health of your nails first. look in the pharmacy, they'll have products you can use. also cream to rub just below your cuticles helps improve your nail condition too. hope this helped.

A bit weird, in my opinion. It's great for French tips or with designs, but by itself, it's a bit ';blah.';
I personally feel that any nail varnish looks nice as long as you rock it, its clearly not outdated as tons of celebs wear it for example Beyonce Knowles and Lauren Conrad and it looks great give it a try and see what you think. What do you think about white nail polish?

Can someone help me with nail polish?
I want to know if their are any brands of nail polish that show up on black nail polish. I've asked one nail salon, but they have no clue. Like, I want my base color black and I wanted to do designs in a different color(red, purple and so on) But I don't know where to find them or get them. I want the red or other colors to actually show on top of the black. What type of nail polish could I buy?Is it like 'gel' type nail polish or something that gets the bright effect on any color? No matter what kind it is, I need(want) it. Or should I just burst out with a can of paint? lol.
Please help! Can someone help me with nail polish?
Nail salons use some sort of nail paint which is likely what you are looking for...they use it to paint designs (like flowers) on top of painted nails. I have had them paint flowers on top of a very deep, red polish before, and it showed up really well. Maybe they sell it at a salon near you, or they may be nice enough to at least point you in the right direction. Good luck! :)Can someone help me with nail polish?
metallic polish work real nice
well, i paint my nails black and then put red poka dots on it. i use ';orly'; nail lacquer and i get it at sally's. it last long and its strong so it doesn't look clear or watery
use one of those nail pens. i dont know where to get them, but u wait til the black drys then write over it. you might want to try asking a salon if theyve heard of those!
good luck!makeup ideas

Do know of any ';vegan'; nail polish removers?
Im a vegetarian and I recently found out that almost all brands of nail polish removers are ';enriched'; with gelatin.
Does anyone know of a brand that could be found in stores that is made without gelatin???Do know of any ';vegan'; nail polish removers?
Alot of those cosmetics have also been tested on animals. Try shopping from online or animal friendly stores.
Check out http://crueltyfreeshop.com.au/ or ebay. Type vegan before what ever your looking for. I just found a bunch of vegan cosmetics on ebay. hope this helped =)Do know of any ';vegan'; nail polish removers?
wow that is tough! I tried a google and haven't found anything. I do know that you can remove nailpolish by painting over the existing polish. That should soften the polish so you can remove it. Try clear polish.
ETA
I did find these:
Pangea (www.veganstore.com) sells No Miss products, and they have a line of nail colorings and removers that are vegan.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE (can't say it enough) ***No Miss*** brand nail polish remover. It's vegan, natural, and cruelty-free - and it smells like vanilla! I have no idea why people use acetone-based removers that smell chemical enough to knock you out. When you try this, you'll NEVER go back! You can find it on www.veganstore.com, and I know my local natural food store and co-op both carry it so maybe you can even find it locally. They also make No Miss nail polish that's freaking fantastic, vegan, cruelty-free and it doesn't contain embalming fluid like regular ones do!
i dont know of any... But also remember that top coats and base coats usually have gelatin in them also.. it strengthens the nails... Soooo be careful what you buy!!
Check out the labels on generic products. I know life-brand (from Shoppers Drug Mart) is. :)
your basic cheap nail polish removers are vegan... they are just acetylene or some alcohol based thing. No animal products.
If you want natural, you cannot have it -- nail polish is not natural, so you have to make your choices.

How do I keep my nail polish nice and smooth rather than sticky and clumpy?
My mom showed me a way to keep it smooth (she went to comsmetic school, so i guess she learned it there), just add a couple of drops of nail polish remover in the polish.. it lossens it up just right and in seconds its nice and smooth..
BTW, ive never tried the refridgerator thing though, thats sounds like a good experiment too. try either or..How do I keep my nail polish nice and smooth rather than sticky and clumpy?
I've kept my nailpolish in the refrigerator for many years now. Everyone always laughs when they open my fridge door, but it seems to helps with the clumping and stickiness. Try it.
Also, when you shake it, do it gently. Don't vigorously shake it. You should roll it between the palms of your hands a few times. This will keep the air bubbles out of the polish. How do I keep my nail polish nice and smooth rather than sticky and clumpy?
Keep it in the fridge. It works.
Keep it in a fridge.
Add a little nail polish remover to it and shake it should help
If you nail polish is sticky and clumpy its either old or it has been exposed to the air for too long. Also, never shake the bottle. That makes air bubbles in the polish and it will bubble up on your nails. Turn the bottle upside and roll between your palms. Also, don't buy the really cheap polish. A great polish to use is OPI. It is my absolute favorite and they have every color imaginable. You buy it at most beauty salons or stores like Ulta or Beauty Brands. The polish last a really long time and it doesn't chip off as fast as the cheap stuff. Also, if you want your manicures to last you need to always use a basecoat and a topcoat.
If it is sticky and clumpy, it is old or been exposed to the air for too long. I don't really think that there is a solution other than just throw it away and buy new...
if the polish is thick and guumy add a few drops of polis remover to it. if it is still thick throw it away and buy a new bottle
don't shake the bottle, make sure the top is on real well and hold it up-side-down and then right-side-up,do that 2-3 times.Do that instead and it will keep your nail polish from bubbling causing it to clump. You may want to give yourself extrra time in between coats too.
1. dont shake the polish(roll it in the palm of your hands--the warmth helps it to be smooth
2. dont ever use polish remover to try to thin it out--use polish thinner(you can get this at any beauty supply store)
apply base and top coat

This morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
Does anyone know what can be used to get it out? I would be very grateful - my daughter is really upset about the top.
Thanks :)This morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
Hi! I just answered someone else. Who has the same problem! If you want to,depending on the fabric. Try Hairspray!(CAN ,NOT PLASTIC BOTTLE HAIRSPRAY) Spray directly on spot. Wipe gently, see if it softens! If so then repeat! washspot with water to remove hairspray if it removes stain! We used hairspray a lot in beauty school to remove stains! Good Luck DorothyThis morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
acetone but it will only smear it. Live and learn.
erm, now then, let me think....
something to remove nail polish..............erm............
nope sorry. cant think of nail type of nail polish remover...............
One time I did that and used paint thinner and it took it right off. ;)
It is perhaps best to ask the dry cleaners if they have any ideas, alternatively you can buy acetone from a chemist which is stronger than nail varnish remover and might do the trick. Just remember to test the fabric first to see if it takes the colour out, still if the top is ruined anyway it is worth a try Good luck, hope you are successful.
Nail polish is not coming out.
***Vain***
if you put it in the freezer it will prob peel off, but it may leave a coloured stain underneath!
vanish oxy action?????it myt help
don't waste your time buy a new top.
Explain to your daughter this is one of the facts of life, throw away the top, buy some more varnish and a new top, make a vow to keep them well apart and stick to it. Nail varnish and remover are two very dangerous items to be handled carelessly inside a house.
Nail polish
Sponge with polish remover or banana oil. Wash. If stain remains, sponge with denatured alcohol to which a few drops of ammonia have been added. Wash again. Do - not use polish remover on acetate or triacetate fabrics. Good Luck !
Use a nail polish remover with acetone in it, but make sure to rub in one direction.
Try nail polish remover %26amp; throw it in a washing machine or let it soak. Also, try rubbing it in with ice after.

What is the best way to get stained nail polish out of ?tarrazar? flooring?
Terrazo in my house is like a concrete you can use a fine sand paper use the kind for wet sanding and wet the floor and lightly sand it. If it a soaked in then its not tarrazo flooringWhat is the best way to get stained nail polish out of ?tarrazar? flooring?
Paint stripper or acetone (finger nail polish remover) should remove the stain, along with some elbow grease. The problem becomes re-sealing the floor (that's terrazzo by the way). The grout, if you used tiles, the cement and the stones all have different absorption rates and can be harmed (or not) by cleaners. Without any more information, I'd visit your local tile and floor professional and get some specific advice.

Is It Weird to try something NEW ? ? ?
The answer is no.... U Should Go For it, start a new style of ur own !
mabey even paint ur nails yellow then add purple french tips to the end !
Together yes, separate no, I love dark plum nail polish :)
purple and yellow dont go together. they r ugly together
Go for it! Ive only seen that combination maybe once before and you shouldnt be afraid to be different!
yea dont wear them together find a different color if you want to do that
Only if you're a dude.
it'd look alright- if you think it looks good that's all that matters.
only if you're supporting your school %26amp; it's at a ball game.
no
First of all, purple and yellow clash horribly. So never wear them together.
And secondly, yellow nail polish is disgusting, looks like you have jaundice. So ugly.
Also, patterns on your nails? Is the 1980s not over where you live?
Seriously, wear the purple nail polish and don't even think about buying any yellow, let alone wearing it.

Is red nail polish okay for everyday wear?
Not too dark a red, yet not too light, either? And with medium cut nails where their not long nor too short? Is red nail polish okay for everyday wear?
I think it can look a bit slutty. Depends on how old you are. If you are young enough to get away with some different funky colours, then do that!Is red nail polish okay for everyday wear?

Does nail polish turn your nails yellow?
Every time I put on nail polish it looks nice and everything, but when I remove it, my nails are this ugly, dull yellow color. Usually my natural nails look healthy, but every time after I wear nail polish they look awful. Is this just me? Can I fix it somehow, or is there a certain brand of nail polish that won't do this?
Thanks!Does nail polish turn your nails yellow?
Usually only the cheapy ones do it, it used to happen to me. If you use Sally Hansen it probably won't do it. Your nails might be sensitive to centain chemicals in the polish too. Try taking a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover that says it will stregthen nails and run it over your unpainted nails as if your painting them. Let the first coat dry and do it again. Then apply a base coat of clear polish to protect your nails. After that drys, paint them whatever color you want because the base coat with protect them! Good luck!Does nail polish turn your nails yellow?
This usually happens when you have a dark color on your nails..
Try using undercoats ..
It helps protect your nails...
You put that on first, and then you put your nail polish on.
it does overtime....... there is a clear finger paint that you put on before you put the colored one on and it protects your nails... then you put it after the colored ones so your nails can last...... hope this helps! good luck!
Usualy this happens if you keep polish on for a long amount of time. There are soaks, or you can buy some denture soak and soak your nails. You can also buffer them down.
it happens to me to it will do away in a few days i would suggest waiting till ur nails turn back to there color before repainting
maybe some kinds.
Absolutely NOT!!! It looks pretty. I have nail polish on almost every single day without taking it off to let my nails breathe and they are perfectly fine!!!
This happens because your nails are being covered for that whole time. They can't ';breathe'; and so anytime you wear nail polish for a while, this'll happen. You can avoid it by not leaving nail polish on for very long.
you need to let them get some air inbetween polishes b/c with polish your nails dont get air
you need to use a base coat the dye in polish is staining your nails ,a good one is opi base coat it really is worth it because it levels the nails out ,also you could have a nail fungus or just need to let them breath by not wearing your polish for more than a week and going one day without any on :)
just use regular nail polish. put on various LIGHT coats so that the nail can breath through the polish. dont add globbs of it to your nails.
hope i helped!
Ciao!!!!

What colour nail polish looks best on black people?
Bright clear reds, reds with a gold tone...even gold metallic or glitter polishes for a night out. Any red-based tint except orange, which I think is horrible on everybody, should look fabulous. Most pinks should do well except possibly those that have some purple in them, which also seem to me to clash with any kind of human skin. What colour nail polish looks best on black people?

That depends on your skin tone and the colors that you like. I would suggest that you experiment with some color choices that you like. Go to the cosmetic department of the store you wish to purchase and look at the colors through the bottles and hold them up to your skin. See which colors look best to you. After all your opinion is the only one that counts.
I think a slightly sparkly plum colour.

Is Chanel nail polish worth the price?
I've been using Essie nail polish for about two years but I'm not 100% happy with it. I find that only the dark colors seem to stay on well, and when I use lighter colors they chip after five or so days..I get my nails manicured weekly and I usually bring my own polish so I'm wondering if Chanel is worth the splurge? I'd really like to find a polish that won't chip for the week! If Chanel isn't worth it, what is?Is Chanel nail polish worth the price?
Short answer: No, not particularly.
A while ago I decided to try $20 Chanel ';Black Satin'; polish since my usual nail routine consists of $1 NYC varnish and top coat. I was expecting nails that didn't chip as fast or at least good quality polish, but to my dismay the polish still chipped and, most surprisingly, the coats wore thin and didn't hold up as well as my cheap drugstore polish. Two days after painting the solid black had faded to a strange deep brown. With my drugstore polish, it seemed to chip more easily, but at least the color held up very well and stayed an eternally abysmal black. Maybe this is why goths aren't known for turning to Chanel.makeup ideas

How do you get rid of nail polish other than nail polish remover?
What is it on?
Straight ACETONE will workHow do you get rid of nail polish other than nail polish remover?
When I didn't have any nail polish remover and I just HAD to change my color, I used....more nail polish! It softens the old polish. I put it over the old color, let it sit there for like 5 seconds and then rubbed it off. Sometimes I had to do it twice for a nail, but don't let it sit as long during the second time. It worked for me!How do you get rid of nail polish other than nail polish remover?
try a mixture of hot water and ammonia, if that doesn't work just use straight ammonia, just be careful what you put it on.
I had spilled BLACk nail polish on my off white carpet, and with some scrubbing and ammonia I got it right out.
What is it on, a surface or clothing? Do not use nail polish remover - acetone will eat right through many fabrics and can ';melt'; some surfaces.

Would black nail polish be suitable on black women?
I'm currently thinking if I should try on black nail polish, but I don't think it will be suitable on my dark skin.I like how other girls wears it, but there are mostly white girls and I don't want to wear it and people think i'm goth or something.I bought a NYC black nail polish a month ago, but I'm scared to wear it. I look on magazines and I notice that Janet Jackson is wearing it too, and it looks o good on hers nails, but when I try it on it looks ugly. Should I just look for another color and should I try it. Help!Would black nail polish be suitable on black women?
I am a young black girl and i do wear it.At first i thought it might not be the best next to my skin tone but it complements it well.So try it!If that doesn't work you can try another dark shade like a very deep purple nail polish.Would black nail polish be suitable on black women?
It depends a lot on the shade of your skin, as well. If you do it, make sure you don't use a lot of heavy makeup and try to make the rest of the outfit have a semi-sweet quality, not a 'punk' type look. If you use a clear gloss over it, it should help make them shiny, which will help. Stark-white polish is coming back, as well, if that still just doesn't look good. It actually has a similar effect!
what is this ';suitable';? if you wear pink or red lipstick is it suitable? will people think you are trying to be white?
No seriously, why should it matter? If you like it then it shouldn't matter. you are who you are...let your personality come out however you would like for it too. if it's ugly to you why wear it. you have to be comfortable. i never let what others think dictate who i am and my style or what i wear. it's just polish hun, that's why they created polish remover if you don't like it.
Make it like a french manicure, but instead of white tips, use black.
Please look for another color, black polish does look goth and very inappropriate if you have a job
im black %26amp; wear black NYC nail polish %26amp; i like how it looks =P
Of course you should try it!!
I you like it wear it!
i think buy itself no, you should put a design of some simple flower on it or stripes it would look nice if u added silver white or gold to it.
To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of black nailpolish on anyone, regardless of their complexion. If you like dark colors, try a dark burgundy red, a navy blue, or a deep berry shade. These will be much prettier IMO.
well if you havent tried the black try it, but if you have and dont like it get a different color.
To wear dark colors and black in nails, cheeks and lips reminds of death. Black is good for Halloween, but never for another ocassion. And for dark women is a true horror to wear such colors. Not even purple or violet suits dark skins...Dark women lack light in their skin, that is why they must add it in clothes and makeup. Try medium to light colors of pink, orange, coral, and orange-red for nails, cheeks and lips. Make white your favorite clothes color. Read my other answers here to find more.
You can put black nail polish on you. A lot of colored girls in my school wear it and i personally think that it looks better because it looks more natural when its up against the dark skin.
Hello,
It all depends on how dark your skin is. If you are really dark you can not wear that color. This is what you should do. Take the bottle to a manicurist and have then do a manicure professionally. It should be very glossy with no streaks or chips. Professional manicures often look better than a home application. Good luck!
nope!
There is a trick to high fashion black nail polish - apply a high shine clear coat over the top and be sure to have a design on the thumbs (like a red or white daisy), then the high shine so the effect is like patent leather and not at all the dull goth type. Good Luck!
I don't think black nail polish is pretty ( on black lady or white lady). You bought it already. So use it . Made a flowers from other bright nail polishes by making dots.Black background and colored flowers on it. I 'll go with burgundy or gold tones or brights- depend on your outfits and lipstick and a season. summer- brights, fall- gold and browns, winter - red purple, and spring light fuchsia
To be honest I don't think black nail polish looks good on any people but you should try it and if you don't like it simply take it off...no biggy.
I seems to me that it would be a perfect natural color. My thought for you is this... you've tried it and didn't like it. Let it go and find something else that you do like. All that matters is what you like!
no
try it on, and if u dont lik eit take if off. thats wat i would do!
Black nail polish looks good on ANYONE no matter what their skin color is. It might actually look good on you but you are doubting yourself SO much that you see it as looking bad. I do that to myself ALL the time.

Black is the new red I currently am wearing it, I have friends with darker completions and they are wearing it. Just make sure your nails are neatly manicured and not long to avoid looking gothic. It willl look hot!

i use it all the time lolz! What makeup, nail polish, colors, ect would look good with my skin tone?
You are really pretty! I would keep your makeup very natural. A sheer foundation or mineral makeup would be good if you have any discoloration on the face. Your eyebrows are really good so there no need to fill them in further. If you want a more exotic eye try MAC satin taupe. It looks good on every skin tone. A classic pinky beige polish would look really subtle. I personally like to experiment with lavenders and dark colors a lot. A berry colored lipgloss would enhance your lips for night and a light pink is good for day/school.
You are beautiful! Check out youtube for some makeup tutorials to freshen up your routine. I always feel that natural colors are best, cause you don't have to guess. But there's nothing wrong with throwing some color on your eyes, and lips.
You're beautiful!
Try some softer pinks. :) I would advise against heavy makeup--you don't need it!

What color nail polish to wear?
Ok guys another question. Again I am going to a wedding in san francisco. My dress is black and ivory, what color should I paint my nails. I was either thinking, red, very dark color like almost black, or very light tannish color ?? My toes show also in my shoes.
What color nail polish to wear?
I will go something light, like natural pink...
The natural the look the better...let your dress be the hightlight. don't over do it, keep it simple.
GL at the wedding...What color nail polish to wear?
thx
Personally, I would go with a french manicure. It's just my style and it matches everything. But if you want a pop of color I would go with red. But then if you like to wear colors according to the seasons then go with a dark red.
I would go with a maroon color or a crimson color. Do something dark definitely.
go with a red, or maybe a burgundy, it will go well with the black and ivory.
Go with a deep crimson red or a dark plum (something dark but still colorful) -- it'll look classy.

Maybe this is why goths aren't known for turning to Chanel.

I cannot believe Melissa M said ';coloured girls';. wow. in 2007.
But black nail polish does not look good on anyone, ';coloured'; or not.

What color nail polish do guys perfer for girls?
thanks. What color nail polish do guys perfer for girls?
I was thinking red because the color red seems to attract men in general. You always here about ';the woman in the red dress';. I remember learning in my psychology class that men are more likely to notice the woman in red first than any other color. What color nail polish do guys perfer for girls?
Myself, I like pinks, reds, light purples and blues, and french mani and pedicure looks. Nothing dark like black. Too drastic in my opinion.

Does anyone know of anywhere in the Richmond,Va. area that sells china glaze nail polish?
I really want to find this polish in For Audrey which is like a tiffany blue color. If anyone knows where I can find it, it would be much appreciated! Thanks! :)Does anyone know of anywhere in the Richmond,Va. area that sells china glaze nail polish?
Sally Beauty Supply
I bought mine there, love it :)
They have it in stock at the store, or you can get it off their website, and I'll list other sites for you too.
ps- It really helps to get a beauty club card, especially if you find yourself buying more polish hehe, it's addicting! Their colors and formula is awesome. The card is only $5.00, lasts a whole year, you get an instant $5.00 coupon for next months purchase (so it pays for itself), and you save so much off products! All China Glaze polishes would only be $3.25 with a card instead of $5.99. Cool huh? Just a tip!
Hope this helps!Does anyone know of anywhere in the Richmond,Va. area that sells china glaze nail polish?
Sally Beauty Supply was what I was going to say, until I saw that the girl above me beat me to the punch! :)
However, I also can suggest that you purchase it at a nail salon. Nail salons tend to retail polishes in the brands they use, which typically include China Glaze. You know what I mean? Ever notice the big glass case most salons have of untouched polish? Lol.
Another solution may be to look for it online- maybe you can find it really, really cheap.

Does nail polish remover work good?
ok so i was wondering if nail polish remover works really good....especially if my nail polish is dark red ot black?....and i like to remove my nail polish after school everyday. Will it take off ALL the nail polish. oh and what is the best nail polish remover?Does nail polish remover work good?
nail polish remover does work...if you have natural nails you can use acetone remover...if you have nail tips though make sure it's non-acetone. It would be best not to use it everyday though as it can dry out the nail, which leaves it more brittle and prone to breakage. Crystal Care nail polish remover pads work amazingly well... I know because I'm a licensed nail technician and use them often on clients :)Does nail polish remover work good?
Yes nail polish remover works very well, you may at the worst have to soak your fingers for a minute or so if it is being stubborn.
Yes, you will be able to get all the nail polish off. The best is from a beauty supply store. Get the extra strong stuff for fake nails if you are painting your nails a really dark color.
Of course nail polish remover will remove nail polish and the nail polish remover you should use is Delon nail polish remover usually found in the dollar store.
Acetone nail polish remover works the best on natural nails, however it may not remove all the polish for deep intense colors entirely unless you use a proper basecoat. I like Sally Hansen the best.

Question about using clear nail polish as a sealant?
I want to glue magazines clippings to a picture frame to decorate it, and i was wondering if i could just put a coat of clear nail polish on top to seal everything on and give it a shiny finish.Question about using clear nail polish as a sealant?
There is another solution other than nail polish. Nail polish is strong enough to ruin the ink on the paper, causing it to run or smudge.
Instead, use a product available at almost any craft store: decoupage.
Decoupage comes in a matt and a shiny finish. Decoupage is a glue and a sealant. It will be absolutely perfect for the project you are planning. Just brush the decoupage on the back of the magazine clipping, press onto the surface you want to attach it to and then coat the paper with the decoupage to seal the paper. This process can also be done with fabric. The jar of decoupage should provide you with other ideas in which the product can be used.Question about using clear nail polish as a sealant?
Yes, you can, glue polish belongs to a class of hydrocarbons, OK quality, lah..., but wont it be more economical if you can obtain clear varnish, from any recognised hardware dealer, it is the same principle, and if you want coloration, you can get timber varnish, or from some artwork dealers, are also available clear varnish coatings, and the finish may be matt (Rough) or smooth or even shiny (glossy) finish......
Poor idea. Nail polish is almost impossible to apply smoothly on a large surface, and it will be expensive. Take the 3rd poster's suggestion of a clear water-based coating made for decoupage.
I don't see why not... it's just laquer after all.

What's your opinion on China Glaze nail polish?
I'm really debating on trying it. I like all the colours but does this polish chip easily, do you have to have a thousand coats to achieve the colour?
If you don't like China Glaze what kind do you wear? What's your opinion on China Glaze nail polish?
I LOVE CHINA GLAZE
at my local Beauty Brands I get a ton b/c its buy one China Glaze, get one 1/2 off.
I've been wearing ';Awakening'; (a mix of purple and gold) on my toes for 2 weeks, and it hasn't chipped.
I also love ';Jamaican' Out'; =)
It's a vibrant color of gold and red orange.
And to make sure it doesn't chip easily, always apply a coat of clear nailpolish before you put on color, and after you put it on!What's your opinion on China Glaze nail polish?
It works fine: last long, nice colors, well priced. But my absolute favorite nail polish brand is OPI. They have the BEST colors [a wide variety] and they go on smooth and shiny. Plus it's around $7 for each polish, not to bad [compared to paying $20 for chanel polish].
I use OPI most of the time. My absolute favorite brand.
China Glaze has some of the prettiest reds! I use it sometimes. Sorry I couldn't help more, I just honestly don't remember if it was long lasting or highly pigmented.
It holds up well. I didn't put a top coat on it so it dulled quickly. After about a week the tips were just beginning to rub off. I change my polish a lot (every 3-4 days) so the cheap ones work just fine for me.
I do like China Glaze. It wears well. I have not had issues with chipping.
If I recall correctly I did need a couple coats to get the deep color.
I also really like OPI products and Nicole (by OPI).
i like it it is great to me
they're really good because they have bright colors but mainly i stick to chanel or dior....nothing beats those...you pay more but its definitely worth it.lips

How do I stop nail polish from irritating my cuticles?
Is the fact you are getting pain not a hint, stop wearing it.
Why do people insist on doing something that is painful to thier bodyHow do I stop nail polish from irritating my cuticles?
Don't put it on them. Rather obvious I would have thought.........How do I stop nail polish from irritating my cuticles?
If it is irritating you, just leave a small gap round the edges when you put it on. Alternatively, if it is like a reaction, then try another brand...?
Stop wearing it cause you are allergic to it.
Don't use nail polish. It isn't really essential is it?
You must be allergic to it. Don't wear any.
Look after your nails and your cuticles and you'll have healthy smooth nails all your life. Do not try products to reduce your cuticles or to diminish them. They are essential to the protection of the nail bed and should not be removed.
Feed your nails with the application of natural oils or old fashioned vaseline.
Continue using such products and you could lose your nails and damage the chance of any future nail growth.
Sounds like you have unhealthy cuticle. get a manicure first and make sure they clean and remove the cuticle area well. I just bought a product from Avon called ';Nail Experts Mira Cuticle Advanced Moisturizing Vanishing Complex Antiseptic/Skin protectant';. I know its a long name but it does repair the cuticle area and remove them as well.

soak ur finger in pure acetone.i think this should work
That's happened to me too, especially when it's a very dark color. You have to get your cuticles trimmed and/or get a manicure. The easier yet long option is to wait until the color fades after a couple of days.
Nail Health – The Long and Short of It
It takes two weeks for your finger nail to grow 1/16 of an inch! Nail growth is accelerated in the summertime and you may have noticed the nails on your dominate hand (the one you write with) grow faster than those on your other hand. New growth begins from the cells under the cuticle.
The nail itself is virtually colorless but gets a rosey hue from the blood flowing just beneath it. This transparent tip of the finger is actually fragile in its health and can be best protected by treating it more gingerly than most of us currently do. For example, instead of hammering out a phone number on your keypad with your fingernail – use a pencil instead.
Also, wear rubber gloves as much as possible when cleaning or submersing your hands in water, as the constant soaking and drying of nails causes them to weaken. Also, chemicals used in cleaning products can cause nails to weaken, thus we end up with splitting, chipping, weak nails.
Many people load up on nail polishes and “strengtheners” thinking they are encouraging faster growth and nail health, however most nail cosmetics are fully of chemicals which actually do more harm than good. A good nail strengthener can be used to provide added protection, however its most healthy to just let your nails be natural at least 1-3 months so they can grow out on their own.
Using a glass nail file is one of the best ways to grow long, strong, healthy nails. Emery boards actually tear the nail as they file. A good glass or crystal file actually seals the nail as it more smoothly glides across the nail. There is minimal harshness when filing with a glass or crystal file.
Check out http://www.nailfile.net Top Notch Nail Files for the latest designs in crystal files.
Be careful when cleaning under your nails. Choose a crystal file or sealed wood orange stick and do not dig out the dirt deep under the file. Use a nail brush to clean dirt and when you have to remove additional dirt from the under the nail, do so with extreme care so as not to break the skin under the nail. Doing so will cause the nail to weaken and this is another reason why nails split or chip, especially on the sides.
Calcium, magnesium, B Vitamins and minerals promote healthy, natural nail growth.
Try picking it out with your own finger nail, that's what I do. Or maybe go get a manicure at a professional and they will get rid of it for you.
soak it in polish soap and water and scrub really hard
I don't know..
If it is right outside the nail soak your finger in hot soapy water,
then dig at it?!!!
Like on the cuticles and around the skin? Use a corrector pen:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh…
or something like this:
http://www.drugstore.com/qxp144568_33318…
You just put your finger in the jar, rub it around the sponges and everything should get off with no mess. Good Luck!
white vinegar and remover work best; try both and a combination of the two. If that doesn't work, just use a cuticle stick and chip and pick it off.
Use a cue tip with some nail polish remover on it and rub whereever the nail polish is.

There's a really nice bright pink from the brand Colorama that used to be available at Kroger. I'm not exactly sure if it's still available there, but you could give it a shot. I'd give you the number but I peeled the pastic off the bottle..

Sephora should have it, they have like all kinds of bright ones.
Any dolla' sto' or Sally's Beuty Supply
claires has a bunch of neon colors. they have a whole set for like 9 bucks.
Good places are Claires, Hot Topic and the everyday superstore like Target. Hot topic most likely will have neon colours, since they are all about crazy and extreme makeup.

at hot topic they have a kind of nail polish called morbid makeup. you can go to the store or order it online at hottopic.com. (the pink one goes on so bright, i love it) i have some of the stuff and it works really good. (obviously im not gonna say its kiddy, i wear it :)

Is there any way to get it off without completely ruining the table? My daughter pult nail polish on at my lacquer dining room table. It is smeared in several different places?
get nail polios remover and wash it of and it works like a charm. My daughter pult nail polish on at my lacquer dining room table. It is smeared in several different places?
I would call someone that refinishes furniture. Fingernail polish remover might work without ruining the finish. Don't use acetone. There is always the chance that you will have to have a top finish on the table redone.
goo bew gone n rubbing alchol n soap n water n use a butter nife inside a warm rag 2 scrap off

Thanks for all the help! How do boys feel about nail polish?
I asked my boy friend for you and this is basically what he said:
If you have nice nails that have no dirt than wearing them with no polish looks fine. He said that black and white is kind of weird on girls but it's not like a turn off or anything. When girls have polish chipping off it looks really bad and he just wishes they'd paint over it.
Also, he said that any color looks good but what he really likes is when girls wear a color that compliments their eyes so that when they put their hand on their face or whatever (like leaning on your hand) it brings out your eye color. %26amp; that fake nails are pretty creepy same with really long nails, he thinks that the white part of your nail shouldn't be longer that like 5 mm.
* I hope you understood all that, it's pretty much word for word what he said so yeah. :)How do boys feel about nail polish?
Add black in there - I'm kinda feeling black, which I hated before, but idk a bunch of celebs had it and I am thinking about it hahaha I usually like light pinks and neutral colors, but I feel like changing it for fall =]
I want to know how guys feel about black =p
I don't like dark red or weird colors. If you are going to paint them light colors ( pinks) look best. I prefer it when my wife gets her nails done with the fake plastic ones with the white tips. That's just me though.

Why are most nail polish sticky?
I always put on nail polish and it gets so sticky. My friend told me to put alchoal(nail polish remover) into the nail polish and it reduces the stickyness. Is it because of the company? Why are most nail polish sticky?
Because it may be old..or if you just bought it and you just painted your nails only put two coats on and also get the clear nail polish and it protects you nail polish and it makes it dry faster....i think your problem with nail polish is that you dont let it dry enough just let a fan or light on it after you paint your nails....:) hope i helpedWhy are most nail polish sticky?
sometimes its the company but sometimes its just cuz of how old it is or the warm/cold its been in. try sally hansen salon nail laquer. its really nice and no matter what it goes through it doesnt get thick and sticky
no that means you have some sort of moistureizer underneath the coat of nail polish, on your finger nail. and if you clean your nails with nail polish remover before you pain them; it wont be sticky.
Some companies are more sticky than others. I found the brand Pure ICE and it's not as sticky as the Sally Hansen ones my mom has.
Is the nail polish really old or just thick? It could be that your putting too many coats on.
Because before they are made, men add there special touches to it.

How do you remove black nail polish from around the nail?
So they actually colour stays on but the mess around the nail gets taken off. (i dnt seem 2 be steady with the brush)How do you remove black nail polish from around the nail?
A Q-tip is just a brand name for a cotton swab. Try using a toothpick. Good luck! How do you remove black nail polish from around the nail?
try nail polish remover...
if it doesn't work, then try scrubbing it off with water...
otherwise, just leave it and it'll go off in a few days...
Pour some lemon juice, leave it for 2 min and then use nail polish remover. if not worked use a paint remover. it may definetly get use for you.
After you nail polish is completely dry, take a bath or do the dishes. The mess around the nail will be easy to just scrape off with your fingernail then.
Well, there are two solutions. One is to buy a corrector pen the next time you are out and about. They are just like a felt-tipped pen, but they dispense remover, instead, and you can get really close to the nail without messing up your manicure.
For a quick fix, take a orange stick, or, if you don't have one, the tip of something pointy like a metal nail file, and simply dip it in remover and go over the area carefully. You can use a cotton swab, but you don't have much control with one of those, and they tend to leak onto the nail bed, which messes up your manicure. You can also just soak your hands for a while in warm water, and then take a nail brush to your cuticles, and it should come off pretty easily.
In the future, keep something on hand to remove the excess while you are painting, as it is much easier to remove then. Another thing you can do is put a lot of lotion on your hands before you paint. Make sure you go around the edge of the nail, on you cuticles really well, so that they are kind of greasy. Then, before you paint, take a cotton ball or a swab, and just remove the lotion from the nail, not your cuticles. The lotion will keep the polish from sticking well to your cuticles, and once your nails are dry, you should be able scrub it off fairly easily with a nail brush.
Good luck--and remember, the more you paint, the better you will get at it.
I use a corrector pen that I dip into the cap of the acetone polish remover. If you don't have one, you could use a Q-Tip %26amp; dip it into the cap to remove excess nail polish. Good luck!
First put a clear base coat nail polish on.
This helps the nails from becoming discolored.
Use a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover
to clean off dried mistakes.
My Great Aunt said, back in her day they
used to make black nail polish at home
using cigarette ashes.
Now that sounds dangerous.
acetone
Try lemon juice. Get a fresh lemon cut it in half then put your finger nails in it. The acid should neautralise any discolouration on and under the nails. But make sure you have taken as much nail polish off as possible.
The lemon is brilliant for whitening under the nails to make them look like you have just had a french manicure. I use it all the time, some moisurisers i have always seem to get under my nails and make my nails look greasy so i use the lemon juice.
nail poshish remover and rub off
use a q tip and some aceton polish remover if you cant get it then try scratching it off if it still doesnt come off like that it should just wear on in a day or two with normal activity and hand washing.try using a brillo sponge too.i know its wierd it works just dont do it to hard
After u polish ur nails go around the nail with a q tip saoaked in finger nail polish remover. This will remove the excess nail polish from around the sides.
Take a cotton swab (q-tip) and dip it in some nail polish remover, and gently go around the nail and wipe.
FYI: Avon makes this nail color that you can put on like tape over the nail, and it is a whole less messy...check it out!
try soaking you fingers in remover or astone.that will get it off
This is so anoying it happens to me heaps of time...
well when your actuly painting your nails use a cotten bud or ear cleaner to paint them it works for me..
Oh and to take it of well use a cotten bud with nail polish remover OR use a tooth pick with a tissue wraped round it and dip it into remover/nail polish remover
much love
Jess
ancetone. it takes a while but it eventutally comes off
dipa a cotton bud into nail polish and rub it of.if it doesn't work i have no idea wat to do.
put nail polish remover around a cotton ball and rub around the black nail polish.

I always paint mine black, its basically the only color except for basic french that I use. It only looks good on long nails and if it gets chipped, get it done again because then it looks dirty. A reversed french manicure would also look good. Very dark gray, black or navy blue polish (any bold, dark color will work) with white bottom and tips. I wear it all year round. But you should only wear it if you can pull it off.

or punky and edgy. It depends how you dress it up. A lot of people wear it now, not just emo styled people. But just ignore everyone else, who cares what they think. Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Black nail polish has been around for decades. Its a classy look and one that goes great with most outfits.
If you like it, wear it. Who cares what others think?
Are their opinions that important to you that you even let it dictate what nail color you wish to put on?
on well manicured hands with short nails, it's cute, like little chocolate morsels lol
but beware of wearing too much black or dark colors with it

i wear black nail polish all the time. i don't think it makes you look emo/depressed. just as long as you don't wear all black clothing with it, it looks just fine. :]
if you're pale skinned, it's a nice contrast to wear dark nail polish. But i suggest using brown and not black, because it really does look kind of emo.
it's weird how people think just because you wear black nail your emo, same thing happens to me. It's just nail polish!! A lot of stars where it and their not emo. It's stereotyping.
i dont know why dressing in black people makes people think your emo, basically the color black is hott especially black nail polish. Its looks so sexy=)
the balck nail polish can look cool with certain outfits...but when you wear all black plus the black nail polish...then you will look emo.
depending on the type of person you are. it may look a little gothic on some but if you wear with the right outfits you'll probably rock the nail polish!
I personally don't like black nail polish; it seems emo/goth...But if your clothes are bright and cheerful colors then I don't really mind.
I don't really like it and think that it is only good for Halloween.
I think black nail polish has run its course as a trend but a really deep red so it almost looks black is a really chic look
