Does anyone know what can be used to get it out? I would be very grateful - my daughter is really upset about the top.
Thanks :)This morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
Hi! I just answered someone else. Who has the same problem! If you want to,depending on the fabric. Try Hairspray!(CAN ,NOT PLASTIC BOTTLE HAIRSPRAY) Spray directly on spot. Wipe gently, see if it softens! If so then repeat! washspot with water to remove hairspray if it removes stain! We used hairspray a lot in beauty school to remove stains! Good Luck DorothyThis morning my daughter spilt nail polish over her new top?
acetone but it will only smear it. Live and learn.
erm, now then, let me think....
something to remove nail polish..............erm............
nope sorry. cant think of nail type of nail polish remover...............
One time I did that and used paint thinner and it took it right off. ;)
It is perhaps best to ask the dry cleaners if they have any ideas, alternatively you can buy acetone from a chemist which is stronger than nail varnish remover and might do the trick. Just remember to test the fabric first to see if it takes the colour out, still if the top is ruined anyway it is worth a try Good luck, hope you are successful.
Nail polish is not coming out.
***Vain***
if you put it in the freezer it will prob peel off, but it may leave a coloured stain underneath!
vanish oxy action?????it myt help
don't waste your time buy a new top.
Explain to your daughter this is one of the facts of life, throw away the top, buy some more varnish and a new top, make a vow to keep them well apart and stick to it. Nail varnish and remover are two very dangerous items to be handled carelessly inside a house.
Nail polish
Sponge with polish remover or banana oil. Wash. If stain remains, sponge with denatured alcohol to which a few drops of ammonia have been added. Wash again. Do - not use polish remover on acetate or triacetate fabrics. Good Luck !
Use a nail polish remover with acetone in it, but make sure to rub in one direction.
Try nail polish remover %26amp; throw it in a washing machine or let it soak. Also, try rubbing it in with ice after.
